The Remote Staff team recently had the chance to spend a meaningful and fun day at Our Big Kitchen (OBK).
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by OBK’s chefs and admin team, who shared the organization’s inspiring mission and vision of serving those in need through food and community.
The Cooking Challenge
Our team was divided into three groups of four members, each tasked with creating a vegetarian dish using the ingredients available that day, particularly broccoli.
The challenge? Prepare 50 meals to be distributed to OBK’s beneficiaries.
Teamwork in Action
The kitchen quickly came alive with teamwork, laughter, and creativity. Music played in the background, adding to the lively atmosphere.
A fun highlight was when Rica, Remote Staff’s CEO, brought her son, who suggested adding MSG to enhance the flavor—a very Filipino touch!
Celebrating the Best Dish
After the meals were cooked and packed, each group presented their dish to the OBK chefs.
The tasting session proved to be an exciting highlight, and in the end, Chan’s group claimed the top spot, winning the trophy for the best meal with their delicious creation.
